A statue of Solomon Northup has been commissioned for Marksville's Courthouse Square, and the Emmy and Academy Award winning sculptor Wesley Wofford will be present for this special event where the committee responsible for the statue will announce the commission. 11 am. The statue will be officially unveiled on Juneteenth (June 19) 2024.
