In the 1920s Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington left an indelible mark upon history, building nearly five–thousand schools across the South that provided Black students access to education during a time of segregation and limited opportunities. Discover the legacy of Rosenwald schools at the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience where their latest exhibition A Better Life For Their Children features twenty–three poignant photographs by Andrew Feiler, documenting the stories of these schools and their students.
