A Taste of Afghanistan at Saint John

Saint John Restaurant is partnering with local nonprofit Home is Here NOLA—whose mission is to build community support systems to aid newly-arrived immigrants coming to Louisiana and the South—to host a Taste of Afghanistan. The evening will showcase a tasting menu of home-style dishes prepared by Afghan refugee chefs who will explain their food, culture, and experience of resettling in New Orleans to guests. All of the proceeds will benefit Home Is Here NOLA in its mission to support refugees. 4 pm–7 pm. Tickets are $35, which includes a welcome cocktail and tasting menu, and available here. homeisherenola.org.
