Come to the Manship Theatre first floor lobby to see artworks created by Baton Rouge General Hospital's Arts in Medicine (AIM) program. Hospital artist-in-residence Patti Bailey helps patients undergoing treatment at the hospital access therapeutic are as both a welcome distraction from the stresses of illness and as a channel to explore the healing power of creativity. The art resulting from this program is exhibited three times a year; this show focuses specifically on what the artists working in the program gain through using their talent to help the sick. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served, New Orleans musician Rhe Washington will perform, and art will be available for purchase. 6 pm–7:30 pm. Free and open to the public.
