The Abita Springs Opry is devoted to preserving Louisiana's indigenous music in all its guises. Arrive early and join the folks who've made a ritual of enjoying gumbo, hot dogs, and homemade pastries, not to mention the pre-show sound checks and front porch concerts. It all adds up to the good ole family atmosphere that the Opry strives for. The lineup for May's show includes:

  • Last Chance Bluegrass Band
  • Spider Murphy and the Fatback Vipers
  • OK Crawdad
  • Sherman Bernard
