Acadiana Dragon Boat Festival

The annual Acadiana Dragon Boat Festival is returning to a two-hundred-meter stretch of Bayou Teche in New Iberia. Traditional Hong Kong-style dragon boats, manned by teams of twenty rowers powered by the rhythmic urging of a drummer, will do battle on the bayou as spectators cheer them on from Bouligny Plaza.
