After Arcadia at Ibis Contemporary Art Gallery

Michigan photographer Jason DeMarte has had artwork shown around the world from Denver to Cape Town. Now, his photographs are on display as part of a solo exhibition called After Arcadia at the New Orleans Arts District's newest gallery, Ibis Contemporary. DeMarte creates images that imagine a manufactured utopia where idyllic pop culture references dot the landscape—his dramatic, misty photographs in After Arcadia were captured during a recent residency DeMarte spent in Costa Rica.
