AgMagic on the River

For the fourth year, the LSU AgCenter and the Meraux Foundation will host AgMagic on the River, which aims to give students the opportunity to make a connection with what they learn in the classroom. Visitors will be able to pet cows, rabbits, goats, sheep, and baby chicks, as well as observe bees in their honeycomb. Other activities include candling eggs, planting seeds, digging for potatoes, identifying the age of trees, and making leaf and insect rubbings.  Docville Farm in Violet, La., about 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans.
