The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra is up to the challenge for an evening aimed to well up a bit of patriotism. The program includes selections from Aaron Copland's Billy the Kid, Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 "From the New World," and Pulitzer- and Grammy-winning composer Jennifer Higdon's Harp Concerto, a co-commission with BRSO, with Yolanda Kondonassis on harp. 7:30 pm–9:30 pm at First Baptist Church. brso.org.
