Annual Free Cochon De Lait at Vermilionville

Those wanting to participate in a traditional Cajun boucherie should make sure to be at Vermilionville this Sunday, when the village roasts a cochon de lait. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the traditions and history surrounding this communal hog butchering. Activities planned include crackling and boudin-making demonstrations by John Norbert, live music by Leroy Thomas & the Zydeco RoadRunners, and distribution of samples by Schilling.
