April at the Terrebonne Parish Library

The Terrebonne Parish Library System offers an impressive slate of engaging, challenging, and fun activities for members of the community. Here are a few of our favorites at the Main Library this month: 

• Every Saturday, M Power Yoga Houma: Practice yoga on the lawn or inside (in the case of rain or extreme heat). 10:30 am–11:30 am. 
• April 3 & 24, Southern Writers Workshop: Meet aspiring writers, find your inspiration, and refine your craft in this adult writers' workshop. 7 pm–8:30 pm. 
• April 6, Battle of the Books: Students at 7 participating parish schools will compete in a Family Feud-style competition. Winners will be judged in trivia, team costumes, sportsmanship, and school spirit. 10 am–1 pm. 
• April 11–14, Friends of the Library Book Sale : Books will be sold at .75 cents an inch Thursday–Saturday(Thursday for members only) and $3 a bag on Sunday. 9 am– 5 pm Thurs–Sat. 2 pm–5 pm Sunday. 
• April 14,  Escape the Library: Work together as a team to solve clues and unlock the mystery before time runs out. 4th grade and up, registration required. 3 pm–4 pm. 
• April 25, Imagination Station: Spark your imagination, make new friends, and hear great stories in this hour of imaginative fun for adults with special needs or learning disabilities. 10 am–11 am.
