The Botanic Gardens at Burden hosts Arbor Day celebrations annually, when we reaffirm our commitment to green. Visitors are invited to celebrate the day by planting a tree in the Burden woods (and marking its GPS coordinates to track its growth). Scale a Louisiana live oak, throw axes, meet Smokey Bear, participate in a scavenger hunt, and more. Baton Rouge Green will also host a tree giveaway. 9 am—1 pm. Free admission. discoverburden.com.
