What lies beneath Louisiana's swampy soil? Head to the Capitol Park Museum for an exploration of excavation—Archeology Day, in celebration of Archeology Month. Make clay pots using ancient techniques, test your skills using an ancient spear-thrower (atlatl), weave a mat using palm fronds, use a pump drill to make a pendant, and participate in a mock dig. 10 am–2 pm.
