Arriving Africans and a Changing New Orleans

In conjunction with The Historic New Orleans Collection's current exhibition, "New Orleans, the Founding Era," Erin M. Greenwald, who curated the exhibition and now serves as curator of programs for the New Orleans Museum of Art, will offer a presentation on the formative role Africans played in the cultural, economic and physical development of early New Orleans. Prior to this program, the exhibition will be open for one hour from 5 pm–6 pm. Greenwald's presentation follows from 6 pm–7 pm at 533 Royal Street. Reservations will be held until five minutes prior to the beginning of the event, at which time any unclaimed seats will be released to the public.
