to
Statewide Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Philip Gould
On Art Rocks! Friday, October 5 at 8:30 pm and Saturday, October 6 at 5:30 pm, we will share the story of A. Hays Town, the late architect, highly regarded in south Louisiana for incorporating reclaimed materials and architectural styles of the past into modern homes. We meet composer and performer Eddy Kwon, who brings music education to the Price Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Our Louisiana Treasure this week is the Ascension Parish Courthouse in Donaldsonville, a Romanesque revival style building, constructed in 1889, that is still in use today. These stories and more on this week’s Art Rocks!
Hosted by James Fox-Smith of Country Roads Magazine, Art Rocks! is LPB’s weekly series that spotlights artists, performance, culture, literature, history and the impact of art in our world.
