On Friday, July 24, at 8:30 pm and Saturday, July 25, at 5:30 pm on Art Rocks!, (episode #502), meet Mandeville artist, Peg Usner who creates plein air paintings that reveal the beauty of New Orleans and surrounding areas. Stone carver Susan Zalkind travels the American Southwest to find the perfect pieces of alabaster to create magnificent pieces of art, and Ohio artist Toni Lipsey shows us how she uses beautiful yarns to create inspired creations. Bob Pettit and Shaquille O’Neal still draw attention at LSU. We take a close-up look at their likenesses in bronze, this week’s Louisiana Treasure.
