Artist in Residence John Lawson
Arts For All Studio 5877 Commerce Street, Saint Francisville, Louisiana 70775
British-born collage artist and artist-in-residence at the Knock Knock Children's Museum John Lawson will serve as Arts for All's artist in residence this August. Famous for his beaded pianos and colorful portraits of local bluesmen, Lawson is one of Louisiana's most inventive and playful contemporary artists.
August 2: Artist Talk and Q & A at BirdMan Coffee, 6 pm.
August 7: Collage workshop (registration required; birdmancoffee@bellsouth.net for information.)
In addition, there will be opportunities to visit the studio and watch Lawson work.
