Artist Talk with Ron English

Juror for Baton Rouge Gallery’s Surreal Salon 10 and LSU School of Art visiting lecturer Ron English will visit the LSU MOA to discuss one of his signature "ad flags," designed for the LSU Museum of Art and on display through March 2018. English is a painter, designer and street artist who coined the term "Popaganda" to describe his mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, from superhero mythology to totems of art history, creating images that turn advertising into “subvertizing” and parody into illumination. 2 pm. lsumoa.org.
