April 7 at the Dutchtown Branch: F1 Hybrids: Not Your Grandmothers Flowers: Cindy Moran, Licensed Landscape Horticulturist, reveals how new and improved genetics make flower gardening rewarding and less labor intensive. Cindy will discuss how interspecific crosses have revolutionized flowers and foliage in gardens. Learn how to make the important decisions in selecting seasonal color. To register call the Dutchtown Library at (225) 673-8699.
April 28 at the Gonzales Branch: Spring Plant Swap + Gardening Tip and Questions: A panel of Ascension Master Gardeners will have gardening tips and answer any of your gardening questions. Then you will have an opportunity to participate in an old-fashioned tradition—a plant swap! Bring your labeled plants, cuttings, bulbs, or seeds to exchange with local gardeners. You will leave with lots of information as well as new plants for your garden. To register call the Gonzales Library (225) 647-3955.
