The East Baton Rouge Parish Library's annual Author/Illustrator Program affords an opportunity for the exchange of ideas with prominent writers, artists, scholars, and performers of literature for children and young adults. This year, the the program features Matt de la Peña, the New York Times Bestselling, Newbery Medal-winning author of seven young adult novels including Mexican WhiteBoy, We Were Here, and Superman: Dawnbreaker, plus five picture books for children including Love and Last Stop on Market Street, which won the 2016 Newbery Medal and was named a 2016 Caldecott Honor Book, a 2016 Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor Book, and a #1 New York Times Bestseller. 7 pm–8:30 pm at the Main Library.
