Though he needs no introductions, Bob Dylan has been at the forefront of folk, popular music, and culture for five decades. When called the "spokesman of his generation," he denied the claim, but the songs he penned struck chords with millions during the tumultuous '60s. He was awarded a special citation from the Pulitzer Prize jury in 2008 for the "profound impact" his music had on popular music and American culture, and President Obama presented him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.
