Boo Carré
French Market 1008 North Peters Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70116
Here comes the annual Boo Carré Halloween and Harvest Festival. It's a family friendly event in the French Market that provides trick-or-treating, live music, ghoulish characters, a pumpkin patch, and fresh harvest foods in and around the stalls of the old French Market, in the suitably haunting Vieux Carré atmosphere. Kids in costume will get a free bag to hold their trick-or-treat goodies (while supplies last), and it's a good thing, too—over twenty shops and cafes will be handing out treats throughout the district. Make sure to pick up a list of participating storefronts at the Dutch Alley trick-or-treat booth. A petting zoo, mini golf, interactive craft booths, live music all day, and a temporary playground make Dutch Alley a great place to start the night. 10 am–5 pm. frenchmarket.org.
