Definitely designate a driver for the Hammond Regional Arts Center's annual Brews Arts Fest—especially since even those who aren't drinking will enjoy this artful, community-oriented outdoor festival. Attendees will enjoy a broad selection of locally crafted beers, alongside cuisine prepared by area restaurants and chefs. Plus, there will be live music and artwork by regional artists. It all happens in Morrison Alley parking lot off North Cypress Street (behind the Arts Center at 217 East Thomas Street) in downtown Hammond. 5 pm–9 pm; VIP early entry from 4 pm–5 pm. $35 in advance; $40 at the door; $60 for VIP.  hammondarts.org.
