Celebrate beloved Louisiana culinarian, historian, author, and restauranteaur Chef John Folse being named the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities’ 2023 Humanist of the Year, alongside the other 2023 Humanities Awards winners, at the Bright Lights Awards Dinner in LEH's Turners' Hall in New Orleans' Central Business District. Alongside Folse, Jeremy and Abby Lavoi will be recognized for their documentary film Roots of Fire, which is receiving the award for Documentary of the Year. 7 pm–9 pm.
