Celebrate venerated Louisiana saxophonist, composer, photographer, and painter Richard “Dickie” Landry being named the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities’ 2024 Humanist of the Year, alongside the other 2024 Humanities Awards winners, at the Bright Lights Awards Dinner at the Capitol Park Museum, hosted by the LEH and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. Alongside Landry, Ben Johnson and Linda Midgett will be recognized for their documentary film The Precipice, which is receiving the award for Documentary of the Year. 7 pm–9 pm.
