Capitol Park Museum Check Ceremony

There is something excessively satisfying in witnessing a beloved local institution receive an absurdly physically-oversized check, knowing it will be put to great use for the community. Louisiana State Museum Division Director Rodneyna Hart recently won the Mercedes Benz Challenge to the Baton Rouge Business Report's "Forty under 40" 2018 class, and has asked Mercedes Benz to bequeath the $3,000 prize to the Capitol Park Museum. As we all know, this year has been a monumentally difficult one for tourism, and local museums have been particularly hard-hit. Capitol Park Museum is one of many institutions working tirelessly to preserve and present Louisiana's history and culture, and will surely put this gift to excellent use in continuing that mission.
