Carmina Burana

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra will present Carl Orff's majestic, rollicking Carmina Burana. Based on texts uncovered in a Bavarian monastery, this collection of songs explores fate, love, the magic of springtime, and the joys of the tavern. (What else is there?) The modern world being what it is, you'll recognize some of the music from commercials, but you'll find yourself enjoying the rest of the tunes just as much.
