Casas for CASA

Capital Area CASA Association, an organization that trains community volunteers to help abused and neglected children find safe and permanent homes as quickly as possible, announces its twenty-second annual Casas for CASA, a four-week playhouse fundraiser to generate public awareness, funding, and support for CASA’s efforts on behalf of abused and neglected children. The life-size, custom-built CASA playhouse up for grabs will be on display from July 22 until August 13 in the Mall of Louisiana, with raffle tickets available for $5 each online at casabr.org, at the mall, or at the CASA office, 848 Louisiana Avenue.

The event officially kicks off on July 16, from 5 pm–8 pm at the Renaissance Hotel, with the CASA Fiesta, featuring delicious Mexican cuisine donated by Caliente Mexican Craving, a silent auction, and wine pull. Fiesta tickets are $52 each including sales tax and will be available online at casabr.org, at the event, or by phone at (225) 379-8598. Dress is summer casual.
