"CC 73" with E.L. "Bubba" Henry
Louisiana State Archives 3851 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809
In 1973, delegates met to rewrite and streamline Louisiana's constitution. The subsequent document still stands today. E.L. "Bubba" Henry, one of the "young turks" who led the process, will speak at the Louisiana State Archives today on his upcoming book, CC73: Louisiana's Greatest Generation, America's Last Constitutional Convention. Stop by for the story of how a Cajun governor, a country chairman and bands of reformers and rebels crafted a new constitution. Orders can be placed for the book, which will be published this summer.
