Certified Aging in Place Course (CAPS II)

The Capital Region Builders Association, CRBA, is hosting the National Association of Home Builders’, NAHB, Certified Aging in Place course, CAPS II, Design Concepts for Livable Homes and Aging in Place. The goal of this course is to enable participants to identify common challenges within the home and understand attractive design concepts that create a safe and comfortable environment for clients who want to age in place as well as identify with one or more of these groups.
These courses offer information beneficial to builders and remodelers along with allied professionals who serve the aging in place market including physical and occupational therapists, nurses and doctors, real estate professionals, multifamily and assisted living, trade contractors and those working in academia.
Individuals may take each course in the series or any individual course. CAPS III will take place on Oct. 3 and will introduce design solutions and techniques for professionals whose clients require specialized design and equipment to live and thrive comfortably in their homes.
Become a certified Aging in Place Specialist by attending CAPS II. This course qualifies for six hours of a continuing education credit in a variety of fields. Pricing is $275 for members of NAHB and $325 for non-members. This course is taught by Michael LeCorgne, Risk Management Specialist and Account Executive at 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, and will be held on Sept. 13 from 8:30 am to 4 pm @Highland, 1 Smart Way in Baton Rouge.
