Charles Villarrubia, Guest Tuba

An LSU alum, Charles Villarrubia has performed with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra and toured internationally with the Dallas Brass. A founding member of the group “Rhythm & Brass,” his performances with symphony orchestras in Phoenix, Colorado Springs, Oregon and Tucson have been described by the American Record Guide as “...nothing short of stunning.”  Villarrubia will perform Selections from Songs of Travel (Vaughn Williams), Quixosis (Sam Lipman), Harlequin (Philip Sparke), Sonata (Niklas Sivelöv) at his LSU concert. 7:30 pm.
