The original Counter Club monthly off-menu dinner series at Toups South has reaped back-to-back sold out success since launching in September of 2017. Now, Chef/Owner Isaac Toups is unveiling the first Counter Club Brunch, today at 11 am.Held exclusively at the restaurant’s exhibition kitchen counter the second Sunday of every month, guests can enjoy four courses of inventive, southern regional brunch cuisine.
Brunch aficionados are welcomed to enjoy bottomless mimosas alongside Isaac’s handcrafted off-menu brunch fare. With only 20 seats available per seating, guests are encouraged to book early to secure their spots. Priced at $50 per person (includes bottomless mimosas, excluding additional bar, tax, and gratuity), the first Counter Club Brunch menu offerings are as follows: Amuse—pancake-battered smoked sausage with a Tabasco mash hollandaise; first course—wilted greens salad with chopped egg, bacon, confit chicken hearts, and ham hock vinaigrette; second course—L.A. shrimp and crab roll with yuzu mayo and celery; third course—smoked lamb chilaquiles with egg yolk and cotija cheese; and fourth course—sourdough biscuit churros with cinnamon ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Beverage Director Bryson Downham will also serve brunch-inspired craft cocktails (available for additional purchase) such as the Flip, made with Bloody Mary Mix, whole egg and Pimm’s.
Counter Club Brunch will take place the second Sunday of each month at the Toups South exhibition kitchen counter, located at 1504 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard inside the Southern Food & Beverage Museum (SoFAB) in New Orleans. Seating is very limited and reservations can only be made by calling the restaurant directly at (504) 304-2147.
