Christmas in Nacogdoches
Texas' oldest town, trimmed in tinsel
to
Nacogdoches, TX Nacogdoches, Texas
Nine flags have flown over Texas' oldest town, Nacogdoches, over the course of a few centuries. That's a fair amount of time and global influence to develop quality Christmas traditions. The brick streets of downtown Nacogdoches will play host to a variety of holiday activities this month. Highlights include:
December 1: Lace up for the Jingle Bell Run 3K and 5K at 8 am, followed at 9 am by the Nine Flags Christmas Festival, with holiday shopping, scavenger hunts, a flurry of East Texas food trucks, and live entertainment from bands, choirs, and dancers. A lighted Christmas parade and fireworks end the day.
December 7: Take a turn in Christmas Past when Millard's Crossing Historic Village throws an Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration starting at 6 pm.
December 8: Christmas Open House at the historic Sterne-Hoya House Museum & Library
