"Coming to America" Old State Capitol Zoom Talk
The Old State Capitol presents a free talk about the history of immigration in Louisiana via Zoom.
Louisiana has a diverse population, and immigrants have contributed to our state's unique and vibrant culture for centuries. This Zoom talk from the Old State Capitol will asses more current questions, like what does immigration look like today, and what are the steps to legal citizenship? Dauda Sesay, Louisiana's delegate to the nonpartisan advocacy organization known as the Refugee Congress, will speak to these questions and a variety of other topics. The talk is in conjunction with the exhibition Jacob A. Riis: How the Other Half Lives. 5:30 pm. Free, but registration is required at louisianaoldstatecapitol.org.
