This month, three exciting free community concerts are coming to the East Baton Rouge Main Branch Library at Goodwood: 

May 14: EBR Schools Talented Music String Orchestra: A performance of classics including Brahm's "Waltz," Tchaikowsky's "Elegy for String Orchestra," and others. 1:30 pm. 

May 28: Civic Orchestra of Baton Rouge: A collection of pieces under the theme "Soundscapes Around the World". 3 pm. 

May 30: Baton Rouge Concert Band Memorial Day Concert: The Baton Rouge Concert Band presents a performance of patriotic favorites in the Plaza, "to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms." 7 pm.
