Striving to make an image true to life is among the most enduring art forms. The highly detailed, realistic drawings and paintings of the Old Masters, such as those by da Vinci, Tintoretto, Raphael, Vermeer, and Goya, have long been a source of inspiration for artists. A new exhibit at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum illuminates the ways in which renowned American artists have responded to Old Master traditions. The exhibit remains on display until February 26 in the First Floor Main Gallery. lasm.org.
