Conversations with Abstraction

What does it mean to create? Where does inspiration come from? And how does one’s personal origin and experience shape his or her perception of the world? These are the questions St. Tammany Art Association's latest exhibit seeks to answer, presenting a selection of works from four bold regional abstractionists, Molly Howell, Elliot Stokes, Ralph Townsend, and Hasmig Vartanian. Conversations with Abstraction opens at STAA on February 11, with a reception from 6 pm–9 pm, and remains on display until April 1.
