Creative Acadiana: How to Pitch Yourself to Media with Jordan LaHaye Fontenot
Acadiana Center for the Arts 101 West Vermilion Street, Lafayette, Louisiana 70501
The Acadiana Center for the Arts continues to provide vital resources to artists, musicians, and other creatives in the Acadiana region—like its in-person Creative Acadiana workshops from presenters on topics related to artist finances and other key facets of maintaining a life as a professional creator.
Up next, Country Roads's own Managing Editor Jordan LaHaye Fontenot will present a talk on best practices for artists and creatives when pitching themselves and their creative projects to media outlets. She'll walk attendees through suggestions for how to approach writing emails and press releases, how far in advance to pitch projects, the kinds of stories that excite editors, and other helpful tips for artists wanting to present themselves and their work to media outlets. acadianacenterforthearts.org/creativeacadiana.
