Creepy and Crawly, Good and Bad, Having Fun with Insects

There are kids who scream at the mere sight of a beetle. And then there are kids who capture it, build it a home, and name it Beetie. At the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens' event "Creepy Crawly, Good and Bad — Having Fun with Insects," kids ages 6 to 12 can spend some time with the tiniest populations in the garden. They'll learn which insects are friends and which are foes through interactive gardening and investigative activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. $15 per child. 9:00 to 11:00 am. Reserve your spot by contacting Angie Wall at angwall@cox.net.
