Cypress Sawmill Festival

Follow the swirling sawdust to this award-winning family festival, which promises the twenty-eighth annual weekend filled with professional lumberjack shows, lumberjack contests, chainsaw demos, an old engine display, a car show, the Mitchell Brothers Carnival, live music (courtesy of the Road to Third Street—Songs on the Bayou Festival), a live white tiger (and accompanying conservation program), and more. The live music line-up includes Chubby Carrier, CJ Solar, Jus Cuz, Jaryd Lane, and more. Free shuttles will also visit the terrific Wedell-Williams Memorial Aviation Museum of Louisiana, with which the Cypress Sawmill Museum shares space.
