The following events are happening this month at the innovative, arts-forward, anti-profit group Yes We Cannibal's Government Street space.
December 5: Albuquerque-based music and visual art project infinitekiss will perform with Baton Rouge acoustic songwriter Brother Nought, a project by Dr. Jimmy Butts. 7 pm.
December 9: Manon Bellet, whose exhibition Interstice is on display at Yes We Cannibal, will create a live ferrofluid drawing on glass, accompanied by experimental musician Klaas Hübert from New Orleans and Berlin. 6 pm.
December 15: Author Lydia Pelot-Hobbs will discuss her book Prison Capital: Mass Incarceration and Struggles for Abolition Democracy in Louisiana, accompanied by a performance by New Orleans-based saxophonist and composer Byron Asher. 7 pm.
