New Orleans pop artist Ashley Longshore is known for her vibrant pop art portraits. Some of her paintings of history's most notable women—from Harriet Tubman to Ruth Bader Ginsburg to Hedy Lamarr—will be on display at LASM as part of their exhibition Diamonds of History: Mighty Women by Ashley Longshore. Alongside the portraits will be displays celebrating the twenty-nine women's extensive contributions to the arts, sciences, politics, and beyond. The exhibition will open in conjunction with LASM's sixtieth anniversary gala Diamonds of History on September 30 from 7 pm–11 pm. lasm.org.
