Dining Out for Life

Dining Out for Life, the one-day celebration of food and fundraising for the local non-profit, HIV/AIDS Alliance for Region Two (HAART), takes place today. Restaurants in the capital city will donate 25% of their lunch or dinner sales to HAART on this day, so gather friends and family to eat out for a good cause. Participating restaurants are 18 STEAK, Beausoleil, Bistro Byronz, Boil & Roux, Burgersmith, The House of Jamba, Mellow Mushroom, Mestizo, and Monjunis.
Baton Rouge is #4 for HIV cases nationwide and Louisiana as a whole ranks #3. HAART, a Baton Rouge non-profit organization, provides health insurance assistance, housing, case management, and prevention and outreach services to individuals and families living with or are at risk for HIV/AIDS.
