Entropical Futures by Hannah Chalew
space-ship sets up at the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans with an eerily Stranger Things-like Pop Up exhibition: Down to Earth. The structural show—crafted by New Orleans-based artists Hannah Chalew, Carla Simone, and Allison Beondé—calls to mind social and environmental issues of today. The exhibition, open until May 12, will also include a series of free educational programming, starting with an opening reception on April 25 from 5:30 pm–8:30 pm, featuring a meet-and-greet with artists, an awards ceremony for local educators addressing social and environmental issues, and an introduction to the exhibition and its themes. Visit cacno.org for a full schedule of workshops, panels, poetry readings, and other events presented in conjunction with Down to Earth.
