Downtown Derby

Opéra Louisiane returns with the second annual Downtown Derby, an adventure-challenge competition that will take teams through downtown Baton Rouge to accomplish tasks of physical daring, mental acuity, and creativity. The theme for this year's derby is Rollin' on the River, in honor of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge's inaugural Ebb & Flow Festival, which will be concurrently reacquainting the city with the mighty Mississippi around downtown. Teams win cash prizes, but the real winners will go home with best-costume accolades. The hunt begins at 2 pm across from the Columbus statute on River Road. $26.50 per person. Ages 21 and older.
