Quiana Lynell is a native of Texas and earned her degree in music from LSU. Currently, Lynell teaches voice at Loyola University in New Orleans, and she recently took home the grand prize in the sixth annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in Newark, New Jersey. The SASSAY Award is the only one of its kind, providing a platform for one outstanding jazz singer to launch a career within the music industry.
