February for Kids at the Terrebonne Parish Library

The Terrebonne Parish Library System strives to develop an impressive slate of engaging, challenging, and fun activities for kids, with activities ranging from lessons on coding to Pokemon battles. Here are a few of our favorites at the Main Library this month:
- Every Wednesday, Sensory Story Time: This special program is designed especially for children ages 3–7 who experience sensory integration challenges or have difficulty sitting still—engaging them through movement, music, stories, and play. Registration required. 4–5 pm & 6–7 pm.
- February 6, 8, & 20, Pokemon Gym: Meet other Pokemon fans to build decks, trade, and battle. 4–5 pm.
- February 7, Black History Month: Celebrate African American history with a special story time, craft, and activities.
- February 9, Kid Coders: Learn to think like a computer with fun challenges and games. 4th grade and up. Registration required. 11 am– 12 pm.
- February 10, Escape the Library: Work together as a team to solve clues and unlock the mystery before time runs out. 4th grade and up. Registration required. 3–4 pm.
- February 23, Robots on the go! Robots Lab: Use Cubelet robots to build your own robos, complete special robotic challenges, and more. Pre-K and up. Registration required. 11 am–12 pm.
