Fire and Water Festival

NUNU Arts & Culture Collective’s annual Fire and Water/Le Feu et L’Eau Rural Arts Celebration dovetails with the collective’s Semaine de la Francophonie. Born in the wake of the devastating 2005 hurricanes, Fire and Water originally featured signature floating fires and showcased the work of visual artists, but has since expanded to celebrate a multitude of artists, performers, and cultural workers in a variety of disciplines and genres. Participate in cooking demos, and watch feature films. Hear live music, listen to poetry, and shop local art vendors. It is a truly unique French Louisiana celebration. 11 am–11 pm. (337) 453-3307.
