"Fits Sew Perfect Now" Sewing Classes at the Zachary Branch Library

The Zachary Branch Library has paired up with Fits Sew Perfect Now Sewing & Alterations to offer free sewing classes each month. Targeted towards teens and adults.
On Wednesday July 20, the workshop will focus on "Simple Sewing with Patterns". The class will require some basic sewing knowledge, and will teach students to sew a pair of pajama shorts or small tote bag, how to read patterns, layouts, and cut fabric—as well as offer a basic understanding of various types of fabric and accessories. Sewing machines will be provided for those who cannot bring their own. Students are also asked to bring sewing tools and supplies like scissors, needles, thread, machine bobbins, pins, etc. 2 pm.
On Wednesday July 27, a true beginners class will take place for folks without any prior sewing knowledge. Students will make a dog bed, which will be donated for Zachary's foster dog organization Must Luv Dogs. No sewing machines or tools required. 2 pm.
