The Jeanerette Museum presents Joey David's talk on the history of Selman Field in Monroe, LA, and its role as the only all-inclusive aviation training site in the United States during World War II. Before its deactivation in 1947, the Selman Army Airfield was the largest navigation school of its time and trained over 15,000 navigators during the war. He will also highlight the significance of the field's training in 1944 of Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) squadrons. 6 pm. Free to public. jeanerettemuseum.com.
