For the Sake of Order
Arthur Roger Gallery 432 Julia Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130
In his paintings, Leonard Galmon explores the concept of blackness when it comes to African skin tones by highlighting the many hues and shades of "black" skin tones and by at the same time portraying black individuals in scenes that emphasize their personhood over their blackness.
In his second exhibition with Arthur Roger Gallery, Galmon shares a new collection of works titled For the Sake of Order, on exhibit from August 3–September 21. The show will open with a reception from 6 pm–9 pm in conjunction with White Linen Night.
